Individual SSFI results are compared within a single grade level 9 through 12 or college freshmen class. We do this because maturation does effect results and comparing freshmen with seniors in high school would not give us a true picture of each one. Further research with 17,000 high school students has shown a substantial relationship between SSFI test scores and high school GPA within each grade from nine through twelve and beyond.

We developed the School Success Factors Index (SSFI) as a high school and first year of college equivalent of the CSFI. Over 65,000 students in freshmen experience and orientation courses have used the CSFI in 200 colleges and universities. As noted earlier, the number one predictor of college grades is high school grades. In recent research we found a strong relationship between high school grades and SSFI scores. (For those more technical, we found a correlation of r.= .35- 50).
